So then, how do we love God?
would it not make sense that we would talk about him, as much, and in a similar way we talk about the people we love?
We have spent years, or months getting to know who he is, and we have made the decision to follow his greatest commandment, to love him with all that we have. We know why we should love him, he is the PERFECT love.
So then, instead of that cute boy, or that sexy girl we're dating, or currently interested in, should God not be the person who is always on our minds, should God not be the person who we're always excited to talk about, and to share with others?
Why do we (myself included) put our very own CREATOR on the sidelines? Why do we barely even mention him in our daily conversations with the people we are around and who we spend the most time with. If they don't mind hearing about the guy or girl we're dating/in love with, would they not be willing to hear about the GOD who we're in love with? What makes the difference. Even if they are not a believer, or even someone who hates God, if they are a friend, they would be interested in hearing about this amazing love, this unfailing love, this magnificent friend, the perfect father.
We need to reexamine ourselves as christians. If we don't love God, how then can we learn to give our lives over to him and follow him?
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." ~Romans 10:9
If this is what saves us, then why do we not say it?
